Erika is a student at Drake University majoring in magazine journalism and international relations with a minor in entreprenerial studies. She has also had close ties with one of Drake’s award-winning student-run magazines: DrakeMag.

As a first year student she started out as the assistant editor and made her way to webmaster and section editor her second year at Drake. She currently resides as the editor-in-chief.

When she’s not slaving over DrakeMag manuscripts or writing feature stories for class, you can find Erika taking a walk and usually getting lost, reading National Geographic, or watching countless episodes of “30 Rock.”

She has written for DrakeMag and DrakeMag Online, DIY magazine, and Urban Plains (a senior capstone project at Drake). She has also worked as a contributing proofreader for the December 2011 issue of Kitchen & Bath Ideas.
